Field Trips
We offer field trips, after school
programs or outings for schools, home school programs, and other kid and non-profit organizations. These are approx 1 1/2 hours long and can be tied into
a lesson plan. The field trip can also include
a tour of our facilities and equipment (e.g., kilns).
Did you know that student learning improves when classroom lessons incorporate hands-on craft projects? Check out the study conducted by the Hobby Industry Association (HAI).
We can come to your location with the project of your choice. Creative projects range from clay sculpting, ceramics, mosaics, painting, and more. Popular items include our tiles which make wonderful trivets (often the children paint the tiles and we add their handprints), plates, mugs for Mom, Dad etc. When finished, the pieces will make wonderful gifts and great reminders of the lessons learned. Download our Field Trip menu. Prices start at $6.50 per child (15 child minimum) or $8.50 (10-14 children) (less than 10, regular fees apply).
We can also do our Paint Me A Story program as a field trip for preschoolers at the reduced field trip rate (refer to Field Trip Menu for pricing). Check out our Paint Me A Story page for current stories and projects. If you have a specific story in mind, we can design a project around your story.
