How much are studio fees?
Adults - $8.95
Children 12 & under- $6.95

Can I bring my own piece from home?
In order for us to offer such a wide variety of art experiences, we have to limit the pieces worked on in our studios to those purchased at Art-Gecko Creative Studio. For safety's sake and to extend the life of our kilns, we also have to ask that you use the correct glazes provided by us for your ceramic art. However, a piece originally bought at the studio may be brought back to be painted.

How long do ceramics take to fire?
Ceramic pieces are generally ready for pick up 5-7 days from the date when they were dropped off. Actual firing time is a process that takes about three days, but there is such a great volume of pieces being fired in our kilns that we generally can't begin the process on most pieces until two or three days after they are dropped off.

Do you rush fire for a fee?
Art-Gecko will rush fire a piece for an additional $15. This guarantees all rush-fired products to be finished firing three days after they are completed and dropped off.

Why do you charge more for additional mosaic pieces?
Our projects are priced to cover the basic paints and decorations to complete a project. To mosaic in addition to the basic decorative work in most projects costs us more - but it can often truly enhance your project. In order to offer you the chance to experience mosaic, we have a selection of tile and glass you can add to your work. If you wish to add mosaic to many projects, you may buy tiles and gems by the cup.

What is an appropriate age to start bringing in a child to Art-Gecko Creative Studio?
Art-Gecko is truly for children and adults of all ages. Younger children enjoy creating unique presents for their parents and grandparents at Art-Gecko. A younger child may make an imprint of his or her feet that stays with them forever as a lasting impression of childhood, or "fingerpaint" and other projects that introduce them to art making in a form they can be proud of for years.

What type of projects can we do at Art-Gecko Creative Studio?
We offer a wide range of products and media to choose from in creating your next beautiful piece of art. You may choose from ceramic, plaster craft, wood, spin art, terracotta, clay, stepping stones, stuff-a-critter and mosaic. These products may be decorated by paint, glaze (ceramic only), mosaic tiles, decoupage, glitter, and a whole range of tools, brushes, stamps, stencils and techniques with which to create art.

What if Art-Gecko Creative Studio doesn't have a piece that I like or am looking for?
We order from several suppliers. If you don't see something you like on the shelves, look in the catalogues in our Idea area. We can order whichever piece you decide on as long as it is still in production and you pay for shipping.

Can we just drop off the kids?
While Art-Gecko Creative Studio provides a safe environment for people of all ages to come and enjoy creating art, we do not provide babysitting services. However, age-appropriate children may certainly work on art projects, while parents enjoy a nearby movie, shopping, etc. However, if large parties are scheduled and there is little staff available for children, it would be appropriate to bring your child at another time.
